East Midlands Bricks Awards 2020 goes digital

Posted on October 1, 2020 Comments Off on East Midlands Bricks Awards 2020 goes digital

Despite Governmental guidelines making in-person conferences and events of the size of the 2020 East Midlands Bricks Awards impossible, the awards ceremony will still be going ahead!

The event will take place on Thursday 29th October 2020 but will now be reachable from the comfort of your own home or office via a fully digital Zoom Awards Ceremony. All you will need to do is sign up with the form here, click on the link as it arrives and log into Zoom on the day.

Presenting the ideal opportunity to celebrate success and establish new contacts, the prestigious East Midlands Bricks Awards is Business Link’s annual event, and recognises development projects and people in commercial and public building in the region – from offices, industrial and residential, through to community projects such as leisure schemes and schools.

Steve Fisher, Group Editor says: “As a family company, we’ve been keeping our eye on Governmental guidelines in terms of how safe it would be to host an event. With well over 150 people attending last year, it was always going to be a challenge keeping everyone responsibly distanced, and the recent decision by the Government to put a stop to events with such large attendance has made it so that hosting the event in person wouldn’t be possible or safe.

“We had already been looking at how to host the awards ceremony online, however, liaising with specialists in the field to accommodate our guests and sponsors who didn’t feel safe attending in person even when that was still a viable option. As a result, that means we’re in the perfect position to pivot the show from being digital and in-person to digital only, embracing what may well be the future of how we all do business.

“We see this as a great opportunity to branch out into digital events, and also to be on the forefront of working from home culture. Join us on the day from the comfort of your home or office and celebrate those who have excelled in these hard times. We look forward to seeing you all there!”

Working with specialists in digital conferencing we hope to provide the best experience possible for celebrating and networking with the region’s property and construction industry.

The event will also feature Ken Nettleship, Business Expansion Specialist at Invest in Nottingham, as guest speaker.
