Leading housebuilder David Wilson Homes helped to illuminate the sky last weekend at Warboys Airfield as the local community were welcomed to their annual bonfire and fireworks display.
The five-star developer recently sponsored Warboys Community Bonfire to help bonfire night go off with a bang and build a community feel among homebuyers and existing residents.
The event raised £3,200 for the local community which will be distributed to the local groups and organisations in the coming weeks.
The money will go towards the local doctors, sports field, first aid training for staff at the local school and play school, Warboys Cricket Club and the Warboys Christmas lights.
Pat Collins and Pam Hicks organisers of the event, said: “We would like to thank David Wilson Homes as one of our sponsors, their sponsorship, along with others and the help of all the unpaid volunteers has enabled us to put on a safe organised firework display for families to enjoy, and in the process raise money for the local community”
At the event there was great fun to be had for all of the family with toys and flashing novelties for the children and a BBQ for all of the family to enjoy whilst watching the great fireworks overhead.
Jason Hearn, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “A large part of building a new development is supporting the local community, which is why we were pleased to be able to sponsor the annual bonfire night event at Warboys.
“Bonfire night is a great chance for children and adults alike to come together and get to know each other, this event showed what wonderful community spirit there is in Warboys.”
