A Merseyside community is poised for a major transformation with newly submitted plans for an extensive regeneration project in Huyton Village. The ambitious blueprint encompasses the construction of numerous homes, a brand-new library, a burgeoning commercial district with a hotel and fresh public spaces.
Knowsley Council has laid out a 10-year masterplan aiming to revitalise Huyton village centre. The proposal includes enhancing transport links to the village, with the aim of generating 1,700 new jobs and injecting £50 million into the economy.
In an upcoming cabinet meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 20, councillors are expected to greenlight a preliminary £3.6 million investment to move the project into its technical design and planning phase. This step will help to secure further funding and realising the development, according to the council.
