Popular TV flower expert Jonathan Moseley has paid a return visit to hotel, golf and leisure complex Morley Hayes to wow an audience of floristry and horticulture enthusiasts at an exclusive flower demonstration.
Guests enjoyed glass of elderflower prosecco before watching Jonathan’s hour and a half demonstration, which featured a series of stunning flower arrangements exhibiting a range of colours, scents and blooms.
Jonathan’s arrangements were all inspired by the flowers and plants he has become familiar with on his travels across the globe, as well as the designs he has created whilst collaborating with other artists.
Jonathan, a national demonstrator who appeared on the popular BBC 2 series The Big Allotment Challenge, is known for his humorous and friendly approach, which delighted the audience.
The demonstration aimed to inspire guests to get creative with flowers in their own home and showcased simple but stunning vase bouquets, as well as large and impressive table arrangements.
Jonathan, who teaches Floristry and Floral Art and Design at his Flower School in Derbyshire, also shared his top tips for growing and arranging a variety of flowers and plants and getting rid of pests in the warmer months. He ended the session with a Q & A which gave guests the chance to ask for personalised advice.
After the lively demonstration, guests were able to buy items from Jonathan’s pop-up shop, before enjoying a traditional afternoon tea.
Commenting on his return to Morley Hayes, Jonathan said:
“I enjoyed a wonderful day at Morley Hayes with some amazingly passionate flower lovers, who share my enthusiasm for home-grown British flowers.
“I always try to bring something new to each demonstration for guests to enjoy. This time the focus was on beautiful summer flowers and arrangements that can be created for the home.
“It was wonderful to be able to engage with a small, intimate audience. The guests were incredibly knowledgeable and a delight to talk to both during and after the event.
“I’m looking forward to my next Morley Hayes event on December 10 – a Christmas flower demonstration to get everyone into the festive spirit!”
Andrew Allsop, managing director of Morley Hayes, added:
“It was great to welcome Jonathan to Morley Hayes – as always, his flower demonstration was a superb event which was thoroughly enjoyed by a packed house.
“His demonstrations are always a big hit and we look forward to welcoming him back to Morley Hayes in December for his Christmas demonstration.”
