Leading developer Barratt Homes West Midlands is offering first time buyers the chance to get their feet firmly on the property ladder, with a range of homes available at Holly Blue Meadows with the Help to Buy scheme.
As the number of those looking for their first home soars, hitting a 12 year high last year, accounting for more than half of all homes bought with a mortgage according to the Yorkshire Building Society[1], the homebuilder is offering the Help to Buy scheme on selected homes to enable them to get on the property ladder.
There is, three bedroom Maidstone style homes, a three bedroom Ennerdale style home and four bedroom Halton properties available to move with the fantastic scheme at the Ruston Road development in Burntwood.
Property seekers are also able to view the homes online as Barratt Homes has created a series of videos for homebuyers to view without even leaving their own home.
The Government-backed Help to Buy scheme available at the development also makes the moving process much simpler for first time buyers.
The popular initiative, which launched in 2013, allows buyers to purchase a home with just a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage.
The remaining 20% is funded by an equity loan, interest-free for the first five years and repayable on the sale on the home, making moving much simpler.
Tanya Silk, Sales Director at Barratt Homes West Midlands, said: “As a leading developer, it’s important that we provide as much help as possible to those buying a property for the first time, as well as suggesting homes suitable for them.
“Our three and four bedroom homes at Holly Blue Meadows are ideal for first time buyers with great schools and local amenities nearby as well as the beautiful Chase Water reserve, ideal to enjoy wildlife and country walks with the whole family.
“Our development is now open on an appointment only basis. I would encourage anyone interested to visit the website or call the sales line to book an appointment with one of our friendly Sales Advisers.”
Luke and Rachel recently purchased their first home at the Staffordshire development using the government backed Help to Buy scheme, they said: “We used the Help to Buy scheme which allowed us to put just a 5% deposit on the house.
“Our moving experience with Barratt Homes has been fantastic, everything has gone smoothly, the communication and updates have been more than what we could have wanted and the Sales Adviser, Kieron, has been so easy to talk to, gave us great advice and was very responsive to any queries that we had.”
The current Help to Buy scheme is available until 31st March 2021 and both existing homeowners and first time buyers can benefit.
As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic the Government recently announced a small, two month extension to the building deadline, which means eligible properties can now be build complete by February 2021 instead of December 2020. From 1st April 2021 there will be a new Help to Buy scheme, with regional price caps and for first time buyers only.
