Nottingham-based WiFi specialists Performance Networks have announced being accredited ISO 27001 – the international standard that provides a framework for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
ISO 27001 provides standards for enterprises, governments and other organisations using a process-based approach to initiating, implementing, operating and maintaining an ISMS. It covers both customer and legal requirements such as GDPR and cyber security threats.
Performance Networks have been increasingly helping their customers mitigate the rise of cyberattacks and data breaches. Cyber security has become a top priority for Performance Networks and ISO 27001 has helped to testify that their internal systems and processes are both secure and robust.
Will Evans, Director, commented – “We felt strongly about demonstrating to our customers that we take information security seriously. Being accredited ISO 27001 has come at the right time with the current pandemic of COVID-19 and the transition to remote working. We are keen to demonstrate our commitment to security in everything we do and how we can help our customers ensure their workforce are working securely wherever they are. ISO 27001 has independently verified our policies including disaster recovery plans to protect both our customers and our business which allow the continuation of our technological infrastructure and systems in the event of an unprecedented event like the one we’re currently experiencing. Our team have been instrumental in ensuring we meet the stringent criteria set by ISO and I would like to personally thank everyone involved for their hard work and commitment in helping us achieve this accreditation”.
With ISO 27001 now under their belt, Performance Networks plan to continue to make security paramount in everything they do and support customers by providing a strong portfolio of security solutions.
