Leicester Metro Bank Colleagues Get Pretty Muddy for Charity

Posted on April 26, 2022 Comments Off on Leicester Metro Bank Colleagues Get Pretty Muddy for Charity

Leicester colleagues from the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank are planning to get Pretty Muddy and raise at least £200 for Cancer Research UK.

Lead by assistant store manager Kai Penn, colleagues Stuart Williams, Suraj Madlani, Loretta Manning, Rian Tailor and Rajpal Rai will be tackling the Leicestershire Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course on Sunday May 8th being held at Wymeswold Airfield & Prestwold Park.

“We love a challenge and there is no bigger challenge than beating cancer,” commented Leicester Metro Bank Store Manager Stuart Williams. “The facts are scary as 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and there is no one at this store whose life has not been touched by cancer in some way.  Like the Pretty Muddy slogan says cancer plays dirty, but so do we – we hope to raise a lot more than our target as every penny makes a difference in the fight against cancer.”

“I am taking part due to a personal journey with a cancer scare when I was just 20,” explains Leicester Metro Bank Customer Service Representative, Loretta Manning. “And for my parents who are also both cancer survivors.”

If you would like to support the team you can donate here.

The Leicester Metro Bank store is located at 1 Haymarket, Leicester, LE1 3GD.
