A new business club for Uttoxeter has been launched by leading developer David Wilson Homes.
With the aim of supporting local firms get back on their feet post lockdown, the Bentley Business Club, as it has been named after the company’s new homes development Bentley Fields on Sorrel Close, has been devised to raise awareness of local suppliers, producers and retailers with the new residents.
The club will provide registered businesses with support and assistance whether it’s advertising, help organising events or donations a company needs, the leading developer wants to bring the community together and help local businesses to thrive.
David Wilson Homes is urging local companies to join others in the Bentley Business Club and work in partnership alongside the homebuilder to widen clientele and form a supportive community.
The Flowershop of Uttoxeter, an established florist since 2000, stocks a wide range of high quality arrangements for all occasions. The florist has been providing arrangements to brighten up the marketing suite and show homes at the Sorrel Close development to reflect the local area.
This relationship has allowed the local company to expand its operational area and gain brand new clientele, as David Wilson Homes recommends the company to its new customers.
Steve Barton, Senior Sales Manager at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “As a leading homebuilder, we recognise how important it is to support local businesses in and around the communities in which we build.
“We value our relationship with The Flowershop of Uttoxeter and hope to continue working with them closely in the future.
“As well as this, we would like to extend our support to a range of other local businesses in the area, so we would encourage those who would like to be involved to contact us directly.”
As well as working with a local florist, before lockdown, the developer donated hi-vis bag tags to Picknalls First School in Uttoxeter to keep children safe as part of Road Safety Week.
In addition to this, David Wilson Homes sponsored the Friends of Leigh School Association so that the All Saints C of E Primary School in Church Leigh could host an outdoor cinema event for local residents last summer.
To help local charities and groups in the area, David Wilson Homes has also supported Uttoxeter Knights, a local organisation supporting the local community through financial donations, volunteer work and other services.
The developer is calling all local businesses who would like to work alongside it to contact the homebuilder directly to enquire about any partnerships.
