HOMEBUILDER’S DONATION HELPS WARWICKSHIRE PUPILS MAKE A SAFE RETURN TO SCHOOL

Posted on March 25, 2021 Comments Off on HOMEBUILDER’S DONATION HELPS WARWICKSHIRE PUPILS MAKE A SAFE RETURN TO SCHOOL

David Wilson Homes has donated a range of Covid-19 safety products to Hillmorton Primary School in Rugby to enhance the welfare of its pupils on their return to school.

The leading developer provided five contactless hand sanitiser dispensers and a variety of social distancing floor stickers to the school on Watts Lane to help its staff members and pupils stay safe whilst the pandemic persists.

Following the UK’s third national lockdown, pupils are now back in school and David Wilson Homes is striving to ensure they can stay there whilst the Covid-19 vaccination rollout takes place and a route out of the lockdown is planned.

Bryony Harrison, Headteacher at Hillmorton Primary School, said: “We are delighted to accept this generous donation from David Wilson homes. It has been wonderful to have all of our children back in school and any resources to support our efforts to keep our community safe and healthy are very gratefully received.”

David Wilson Homes’ donated hand sanitiser dispensers are wall-mounted, which allowed the school to choose the areas to install them, whilst an additional five-litre bottle of sanitiser was also supplied to the school for extended use.

The floor stickers are designed to encourage the pupils to observe the two-metre distance whilst walking around the school.

In donating the Covid-19 safety products, the housebuilder has formed a partnership with the school in close proximity of its two developments in Rugby; Ashlawn Gardens and The Moorings.

Rachael Harrison, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “Now all pupils have returned to school to continue their education with their teachers and classmates in person, we wanted to contribute to their safe return and hope our donation will support Hillmorton Primary School in providing a comfortable environment for its staff and pupils.

“In addition to the school’s own safeguarding measures, our hand sanitiser dispensers and social distancing floor stickers aim to provide welcome support in what still proves to be a testing time for everyone.”
