As part of the planning agreement for its new development at Wharf Farm, David Wilson Homes is set to invest more than £2 million in and around the Warwickshire town of Rugby.
Totalling £2,063,995, the funding will be contributed towards the development’s surrounding areas and will be used to support services and enhance the local facilities for current and new residents within the community.
Contributions include over £1,200,000 towards the area’s primary and secondary education amenities, plus over £186,800 on an off-site outdoor sports contribution and more than £133,300 for the community’s facilities.
John Reddington, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “We see an investment into the areas in which we build as both a key responsibility and a priority, helping to support the local community and offer our support wherever we can.
“Showing a financial commitment to local communities is a significant part of building a new homes development, through contributions to education and community facilities amongst many.
“As our Rugby development progresses, we will not only be supporting the area financially, but also through the jobs we have created for local people and the quality homes we are building.”
Details of David Wilson Homes’ new development in Rugby will be released in due course for eager property seekers to learn more, however those registering their interest online will be invited to an exclusive summer launch event.
