A Senior Site Manager for David Wilson Homes in Derbyshire has been recognised for her construction excellence after winning a prestigious Seal of Excellence award in the National Housebuilding Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job awards.
Zoe Stothard has earned the esteemed accolade for the exemplary standards she sets at her development on Kensey Road in Mickleover.
Having won her fourth consecutive Pride in the Job Quality award earlier in the year, the Seal of Excellence completes a fantastic year of personal achievements for Zoe, in her 15th year with the leading developer.
She said: “It’s a real career highlight as I’ve always wanted to earn this achievement. It feels amazing and is a testament to my team around me.
“I have been determined to improve and earn my team the accolade as we all work so hard and it’s a fantastic achievement. It means so much to us all and was unexpected. You can never be complacent as there are so many good developments you are up against, especially in the East Midlands.
“As a team we work really hard and endeavour to make sure our customers are happy. I will always strive to be better and learn from each development I work on, finding ways to ensure we can improve going forward.
“I’d like to thank my husband and family for all of their support and understanding of the job commitment, as well as my team around me. It’s very much a team effort and I couldn’t do it without them.”
The Seal of Excellence is the highest industry accolade a Site Manager can achieve and places Zoe within the top 2% of Site Managers in the country.
Celebrating a 40th anniversary this year, the Pride in the Job awards – considered to be the “Oscars of the housebuilding industry” – recognise the best run sites in the country.
Each Site Manager is judged on a range of key criteria including health and safety, their technical knowledge, customer service and attention to detail.
John Reddington, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “We’re thrilled for Zoe following her Seal of Excellence recognition and the award is a credit to her hard work in Mickleover.”
“At David Wilson Homes, we pride ourselves on our high standards of housebuilding but this applies to our staff as well, who we work with very closely.
“By employing excellent team players we can ensure that our trademark high quality is maintained across all of our sites and Zoe is certainly no exception here.”
