Charterpoint’s Louth scheme given the go-ahead

Posted on March 11, 2020 Comments Off on Charterpoint’s Louth scheme given the go-ahead

Planners have paved the way for phase two of a residential scheme in Lincolnshire which has been masterminded by developer Charterpoint.

Snape Properties began building the first 80 homes at Westfield Park, off Grimsby Road, Louth, in 2018, and the housebuilder has recently exercised an option to buy a further 40 plots now that East Midlands-based Charterpoint Group has received reserved matters planning permission for the latest 160 properties on the site, which will include a mix of houses and bungalows. Planning permission has now been granted for a total of 240 homes on the site.

Meanwhile a planning application for a care home has just been lodged with East Lindsey District Council for a separate plot adjacent to the residential land. The plans for a two-storey, 66-bed care home have been presented by care home specialist LNT Care Developments Ltd.

Infrastructure is already in place to enable development of the care home on the site.

Adrian Goose, Chief Executive of the Charterpoint Group, said: “Westfield Park is a superb site, located close to all the services and amenities that Louth offers, and the first houses built there have proved popular, with work continuing well on the rest of phase one. We are delighted that phase two of the residential scheme is now progressing with a further 120 dwellings in the pipeline.

“Outline planning permission has previously been granted for a senior living element on the site and we are very pleased that detailed plans for a 66-bed care home to be built as part of the development have been submitted. There has already been positive feedback from Louth Town Council to the proposals and we look forward to LNT Care Developments Ltd bringing this scheme to fruition.”

Charterpoint, which is based at Edwalton near Nottingham, specialises in developing first-class senior living accommodation, sustainable housing schemes, and primary care premises. Snape Properties is a Lincolnshire-based house builder.
