Having joined Barratt Homes Northampton’s Sales Graduate Programme in 2013, one employee’s determination to move up through the ranks has earned a new role as Part Exchange Manager.
Arthur Meadowcroft, 27, is based at the housebuilder’s Northampton office, where he is responsible for managing all Part Exchange purchases within the division.
Following his time on the Sales Graduate Programme, he worked as a trainee through to Sales Adviser and then onto Team Leader, before taking a new role as Part Exchange Manager and Trainee Sales Manager.
Arthur said: “For me, it was the graduate scheme that attracted me to the company and I do believe that the training that we offer is some of the best out there.
“I’ve broadened my existing knowledge with my new Part Exchange role, whilst expanding on my people management skills and seeing the bigger picture when working with other departments at a more complex level.”
Arthur chose to work for Barratt Homes because of its prestigious reputation for the quality of its houses to the way they look after their staff.
His day to day role sees him undertaking ensuring Part Exchange deals work for both the customer and Barratt Homes, and working alongside the Sales team. In addition to this, he is also training to become a Sales Manager, which is his end goal.
Arthur continued: “I am responsible for the buy in process of the Part Exchange properties and ensuring the transition runs as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
“As part of my training to become a Sales Manager, I am involved in the marketing, pricing, staff management, customer management and office presentation for my allocated developments.”
