A RECRUITMENT expert says being a “people person” has kept her motivated after 11 years in the industry.
Now Aleks Remplewicz is starting a new chapter in her career, taking up the role of recruitment consultant with Sky Recruitment Solutions, at its newly launched office, in Nottingham city centre.
Her appointment is the latest in a long line of successes for the Derby-headquartered company, which recruits for industrial roles at all levels and is about to open its 10th branch.
Aleks, a mum-of-two who lives in Nottingham, had previously worked in recruitment for the Reckitt Benckiser pharmaceutical company, in Beeston, starting as a recruitment consultant and progressing to account manager, working on-site and being responsible for around 500 temporary staff.
She said this was “exhausting and challenging, but enjoyable”.
“I’m a people person. I like helping people and finding the right placement for their skills,” she said.
“I also like helping clients and building good relationships with them – it’s the most important thing in recruitment.”
Aleks, who will be dealing with temporary contracts in her new role, said she knew Sky Recruitment Solutions’ managing director David Torrington previously and had been following the firm on social media, so knew the firm was “proactive and doing really well”.
Of her first few days in her new role, Aleks said: “It’s brilliant – I love it here.
“The guys are so welcoming and helpful. I’m ready for the new challenge.”
Sky Recruitment Solutions’ Nottingham branch officially launched on June 1 at the Cubo Work offices, in King Street, and is operating as a dual office alongside sister company, Capella Professional, which specialises in recruiting for white collar jobs.
Craig Cheetham, regional business manager overseeing Sky Recruitment Solutions’ Nottingham office, said: “Aleks has a lot of experience in recruitment, and finding people with that much experience in the industry is very difficult. So, for us, it was quite an easy decision to employ her.
“She’s got a great personality, she’s bubbly and wants to do well for her children.”
Craig added that the Nottingham branch had already turned over a profit in Month 1, with a good number of prospective contract meetings lined up in the coming weeks.
